About Us

The Carbon Association works closely with industry groups and associations to guide them through the maze of environmental and climate change issues. The Carbon Association plays a pivotal role in environmental technology transfer to developing economies in transition and actively promotes acceptance and compliancy to the ISO 14000 series of environmental standards for Government, Industry and Commerce.

Members of the Carbon Association seek to make more money by being more efficient and doing less harm to the environment.

Participants and groups, including Building and Construction (construction materials, lighting, heating, cooling account for about 40% of all energy used in Australia); Transportation; Water; Energy Efficiency (household, commercial/industrial, renewables); and, Local Government. These groups are core to our mission and are very dynamic and assist one another with research and implementation of practical solutions.

Within the Special Interest Groups companies can gain industry-specific insights into benefits and compliancy issues other members have faced throughout the process.

Financial stability of the Carbon Association enables it to be innovative and responsive to members.
