The CAA Secretariat works from a top down approach. We work with Sovereign Governments on invitation only, to assist where practical in the sustainable and financially sound process of developing programs for Climate Change mitigation. We clearly understand the consultative process that is required at the local community level to gain the results. Our country Bureau Chiefs, managers and staff work tirelessly to again and again from experience, provide the necessary resources and cultural awareness to gain these results. It must be mutually beneficial for all, and provide a chain of trust and transparency to be sustainable.
The CAA is working with native forest owners in many countries to extend the forest operations into more diverse opportunities such as Eco-tourism projects. Many donors, philanthropists, private investors and tourists want to visit the forests. They want to stay on the ground, visit the forest and marvel at its unique bio-diversity of native trees, fauna and animals. Others are quite happy to visit by Satellite imagery from the comfort of home and the Internet. The point remains that our forests and their bio-diversity is ours to enjoy the way we see fit. If in doing so, we can provide jobs for indigenous and forest people within the Service and Tourism industry, the better it is for us all.
