CAI Environmental Exchange (CAREX)

The Australasian Region is the growth engine of the new world carbon economy. It will generate the largest amount of global trading and program activities within GHG and Voluntary credit market. International and National initiatives to build Carbon and Environmental Exchanges are well underway. Many of these developments rely on the ability to gain concensus and agreement on post 2012, and a continuation of Kyoto as we now know it.

The CAI Regional Exchange is based on Quality of Life, which is the basis for all environmental programs whether Kyoto at a International level, or Land Care issues at a local level. Many in the banking and corporate feilds have been positioning themselves to take advantage of these emerging markets within CDM programs, environmental projects and Carbon Trading. Uncertainty and volitility in the carbon market has already seen major corporate failures in the carbon markets. Others have lost millions awaiting the anticipated liquidity to maintain profitability and sustainability.

The CAI Regional Exchange acts on behalf of its Australasian members and their communities of interest. The CAI seeks to gather further exchange participation at every level of Government to the Provinces, Cities and their inhabitants. Never before has any issue effected every living being on earth, never before have individuals been able to effect change on global conditions. Many have been frustrated with Government on their inaction on climate change. Yet information and media has created a new environmental awareness, and also the desire to change the environmental issues we are facing, and return to a quality of life.

The CAI Regional Exchange (CAREX) provides a gateway to allow member states, cities and individuals to actively participate in a truely global program. The GHG markets seek to penalize those who pollute, and potentially reward those who preserve the planet and reduce emissions. CAREX provides a series of initiatives, regionally centrix to provide rewards to all those who wish to contibute to Quality of Life through emission reductions.
