What We Do

The principal objective of the Carbon Association of Australasia is to promote carbon neutral or carbon positive activities by enterprises and organisations within Australasia, including among them industrial, commercial, non-profit, government, administrative, and regulatory enterprises, associations and bodies and to do all things to facilitate such activities.

Our focus is on creating positive business opportunities from climate change for our members.

Better design, new technologies, and reducing waste with new products and new processes offer vast business opportunities. The Carbon Association of Australasia helps its members realise these opportunities to maximum commercial advantage.

The Carbon Association simply seeks to ensure our members receive the commercial and financial rewards for undertaking change so that the products they use, the processes they undertake, and the outputs they bring to market are carbon neutral or carbon positive – taking every possible opportunity to ameliorate climate change.

Scores of common practices in both private and public sectors – and by individual consumers – systematically reward firms and individuals for wasting natural resources and penalise them for boosting resource productivity.

By going green, business and government can cut energy use, become more profitable, and help solve global warming.
